Gregory West of Hollywood, Fla., also must forfeit any money he made by selling drugs. The money will be applied to a $270 million judgment against other members of what was called the Black Mafia Family.West was among 25 alleged Black Mafia Family members who were indicted in October 2005. The government says the ring operated more than 15 years before the suspects were arrested in eight states.
Prosecutors say West transported drug money and cocaine using vehicles with hidden compartments. They say he transported more than $1 million in cash from Detroit and elsewhere to locations in California and Missouri
