According to the prosecution, Uribe fraudulently disbursed money to Bay General for what appeared to be contracting services.
But, officials say, Uribe used Bay General to inflate the value of the properties.
Also, as part of the scheme, Uribe and others stole victims identities and took out mortgages, buying houses in their names.
Uribe and others are accused of causing lenders to fund more than 32 loans.
U.S. District Judge sentenced Luis Uribe to eight and a half years, in jail, for fraud and identity theft.
