John Ford of Memphis is already serving a 5 1/2-year federal sentence for a separate conviction of taking bribes from undercover FBI agents.U.S. District Judge Todd J. Campbell sentenced Ford Monday on two counts of wire fraud and four counts of making false statements on official documents.Ford had argued at trial that he was paid to consult out of state for the two companies, but he acknowledged that he promoted issues that favored them in the Tennessee Legislature.
