Sadie Collis,and husband Derek each jailed for eight months after pleading guilty to charges of benefit fraud.

Sadie Collis, 27 and husband Derek, 31, of Broadwater Road, Worthing, West Sussex, bought cars worth a total of £48,000 while claiming, a court heard. They were each jailed for eight months after pleading guilty to charges of benefit fraud. Mrs Collis wept as sentence was passed by magistrates in Worthing. The court was told Mrs Collis was the Miss Great Britain Bikini 2003 winner, and worked as a glamour model under her maiden name of Wigglesworth. She and her husband claimed £13,911 in housing and council tax benefits over a three-year period. Their solicitor Gareth Morgan said they had legitimately received benefits from Worthing Borough Council at first. But Mrs Collis then received £27,630 from a trust fund set up by her late father, and Mr Collis £43,102 from an insurance payout after being involved in an accident.
