Ex-Liverpool owner Gillett sued by hedge fund | Reuters: "George Gillett, the former owner of the Liverpool soccer club in the English Premier League, has been sued by a U.S. hedge fund that accused him of failing to repay $117.2 million of debt.
In a lawsuit naming Gillett and 12 affiliates, Mill Financial LLC contended that the company set up by Gillett had borrowed $70 million under a January 2008 loan agreement.
Mill said the agreement has been amended several times, and eventually called for Gillett to pay a 19 percent annual interest rate as well as fees to extend the maturity date."
