Four Nova Scotia Politicians Charged in Expense Scandal: "After a lengthy investigation, a Member of the Nova Scotia Legislature and three former Members have been charged with 52 fraud and theft related offences.

On Feb. 14, 2011, the RCMP in Halifax announced they have concluded their investigation into what has been known as the Nova Scotia Expense Scandal.

The investigation was launched by the Commercial Crime Section of the Nova Scotia RCMP on May 12, 2010, after police received some of an internal forensic audit prepared by the province’s Auditor General (AG). This report led to the investigation of one sitting MLA and five former members of the Nova Scotia legislature."
