Liberty Life limited number of allegedly fraudulent policies

Liberty Life said it is actively assisting in the investigation of a limited number of allegedly fraudulent policies. <br />"Although details are limited at this stage of the investigation, it appears that a third party in the KZN area may have submitted unauthorised policy applications to Liberty Life. If this is the case, fraud has been perpetrated against both the clients concerned and Liberty Life," it said. <br />"Our primary concern is to address the distress the clients involved have experienced and to assist them as quickly as possible with a thorough investigation and expedient resolution," it added. <br />Liberty Life adopts zero tolerance towards fraud or any other crime. All such allegations are treated seriously, and investigated thoroughly by Group Forensic Services, who will additionally assist the authorities in the investigation and prosecution of offenders.<br />It has already sent a forensic investigator to Durban to engage with the police. "As soon as we have more information we will share it," it said.
