Financial Services Authority raided the offices of a firm of stockbrokers with a family link to gangster and jailed killer Kenneth Noye. <br />Bishopsgate Capital Stockbrokers, yards from the City of London Police Economic Crime Unit, is not suspected of firearms or drugs offences, but it has been caught up in a major international police operation led by Kent Police and the Serious Organised Crime Agency. Operation Victory began last Tuesday. Since then, 270 officers have searched more than 50 addresses in Kent, London and Cleveland and made more than 30 arrests, mainly for drug-related offences. They have seized firearms, cocaine and a six-figure sum. Seventeen people have been charged. Separately, but as part of the same overall operation, City Police and FSA investigators have been monitoring the stockbrokers for some months after uncovering links between its owners and the sale of shares in Natrocell, a rat poison company whose shares are not listed on any stock market. Bishopsgate Capital Stockbrokers, which is now in administration, is part-owned by Brett Tremain, a builder from Sevenoaks in Kent. <br />Another huge block of shares in the company was registered to an address in Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Tremain, who uses his mother's maiden name, is the son of Kenneth Noye, serving life for the road rage killing of a driver on the M25 in 1996 after earlier being cleared of the murder of an undercover detective keeping watch on his home in the wake of the 1983 £26m Brink's-Mat bullion robbery at Heathrow. <br />Tremain is also a director of Natrocell, which has addresses in Hornchurch, Essex, and Market Rasen, Lincolnshire. Another director and part-owner is Mark Anthony Blyth, a fully licensed stockbroker and managing director of Bishopsgate Capital. <br />Shares in Natrocell are being offered by several unlicensed offshore boiler room broking firms with addresses in Spain, Switzerland and Germany. Police have searched Tremain's home and offices. He has been arrested but not charged.
