Consumers are being encouraged play their part by supporting the companies who refuse to pay the pizzo. Supporters from all over the world have left more than 2,000 messages of encouragement on the campaign's online forum. "I am proud that my great grandfather refused to give in to their demands," she posts. "He died for something he believed in."
