The chief prosecutor in Munich says tax investigators and prosecutors have conducted a series of raids in and around the city, part of a wider investigation of hundreds of Germans who have allegedly tried to evade taxes by funneling them into other countries. German authorities searched Zumwinkel's home and offices in a tax evasion investigation.Christian Schmidt-Sommerfeld says the raids were done in cooperation with investigators in Bochum who are looking into more claims of tax evasion in a scandal that has so far targeted Klaus Zumwinkel, the chief executive of Deutsche Post AG.
