Former Tennessee Titans lineman Reed Diehl was arrested Tuesday and accused of bilking a developer out of $2.5 million, federal prosecutors said.
Diehl, 29, was taken into custody at his home in Coto de Caza on a federal complaint charging him with wire fraud, the U.S. attorney's office said. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. Prosecutors said Diehl offered to secure funding for a construction project in Mexico if the developer deposited $2.5 million into a bank account. Diehl promised to use the money as collateral to secure a line of credit, but instead he withdrew the money to pay other people who made investments with him, the complaint said. Diehl, who works as an offensive line coach at Mater Dei High School, was later released on $75,000 bond. His arraignment was scheduled for April 14. An after-hours call to an R. Diehl in Irvine went unanswered. Diehl briefly played offensive line for the Titans after attending California.

Reed Diehl is going to prison. He continues to lie to this day. His criminal trial, which begins in early 2009, will be a joy to watch as prison is a beautiful place for someone who does not care for other people.

He lies to everyone, I'm excited to watch him go to jail. Anyone know where this case is being held? And/or exact dates?

This is very sad... I hope Reed is innocent, but how can so many victims and a federal grand jury be wrong?... What are his excuses, and who all is he lying to?...
